The San Francisco Meditation Group (SFMG) follows the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, whose religious organization: Self-Realization Fellowship, was founded by the peerless Guru after coming to America from India in 1920 at the behest of His Param Param Guru, the deathless Babaji, Paramahansa Yogananda visited and lectured in San Francisco a number of times, often staying at the Palace Hotel. The picture on the cover of His Autobiography of a Yogi, the most recognized image of our dear Guru, was taken at the Palace by the hotel staff photographer. SFMG has been active in San Francisco for more than 25 years. Our new (March 2003) location is at 385 Ashton Avenue in the Ingleside Terrace District.
